One good example of the progressive use of our many years of experience and competence is Columbus Shipmanagement Gesellschaft (CSG), also a member of the Hamburg Süd Group.

The services that are necessary to support our own company can, of course, also be offered to others. This, on the one hand, is fully in keeping with the philosophy of 'home-grown services' and, on the other, fits in with the concept of an active market policy. CSG therefore not only manages the ships of the Hamburg Süd Group but also the ships of third-party owners.

The extensive and complex area of activity ranges from technical management and crewing to materials handling – all areas in which the Hamburg Süd Group and CSG command commensurate specialized knowledge. The planning, implementation and management of ship refitting and newbuildings are also core businesses of CSG.
