Due to an imbalance of DRY equipment in all Turkey Ports , Hamburg Süd is introducing an Equipment Imbalance Surcharge (EIS) from Turkey to North Europe for DRY cargo in order to meet the growing demand for empty containers/empty evacuations.
The amount will be as follows, payment following freight:

The EIS will be effective for all DRY cargo loaded or received for shipment on vessels with ETD September 1st, 2021, based on pro forma date of departure and until further notice.
