Awards for customer satisfaction and performance
This year, Hamburg Süd once again numbers among the winners of the prestigious Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain (AFLAS) Awards of the shipping and logistics trade journal Asia Cargo News. For the second time already since 2016, Hamburg Süd was named “Best Shipping Line Asia–Europe”. And the Agriculture Transportation Coalition (AgTC), the largest association of exporters of agricultural and forestry products in the United States, recently honored Hamburg Süd as “Top Ranked Carrier” for the third year in a row.

The decisive factor for the commendation at the Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain (AFLAS) Awards was the high level of satisfaction attested by Hamburg Süd's customers. Michael Britton, General Manager Region Asia-Pacific at Hamburg Süd: “We have long been known for the high quality of our services in our core markets of Latin America and Oceania. We are delighted that Hamburg Süd has now also been honored in the Asia–Europe trade lanes. We will continue to develop our network, our capacities and our intermodal services in this trade.”

For its outstanding performance, Hamburg Süd was recently honored as “Top Ranked Carrier” for the third year in a row by the Agriculture Transportation Coalition (AgTC), the largest association of exporters of agricultural and forestry products in the United States.

The award ceremony was held in mid-June. “Hamburg Süd won’t become complacent just because of the success it has seen so far,” says Jürgen Pump, Senior Vice President of Hamburg Süd North America, Inc. “We are consistently working to improve the services we offer to meet the industry-specific requirements of our customers. In this way, we forge long-term and sustainable business relationships.”

AgTC conducts an annual survey among its member companies to determine the award winners. In the Ocean Carrier Performance Survey, Hamburg Süd received most of the top marks in the categories by which the carriers were rated. These categories include: Documentation Accuracy and Timeliness, Quote Responsiveness, Rate Competitiveness, Claims Service, Freight Billing Accuracy, On-time Performance, Ease of Doing Business, Canceling or Rolling Bookings, Equipment and Space Allocation, Problem Resolution and Customer Service Practices.
