TERMS & CONDITIONS of Demurrage (Detention included) & Storage:

Terms apply unless otherwise agreed.
The period of demurrage will run right after container discharge from vessel until the day on which the container is returned empty to the carrier's depot (calendar days counting), except for IMO 1 & 7 which counts immediately after discharge.
The period of storage will run right after container discharge from vessel until the day of pick up at Terminal (calendar days counting), except for IMO 1 & 7 which counts immediately after discharge.
All local taxes / VAT are for account of the receiver.

“Demurrage”: the charge, related to the use of the equipment only, the merchant pays for carrier's equipment kept beyond the free time offered by the carrier for taking delivery of goods in the port, terminal or depot.
“Detention”: the charge the merchant pays for detaining carrier's equipment outside the port, terminal or depot, beyond the free time.
Demurrage and Detention do not include storage costs and reefer services which are charged to the merchant separately.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT:

Means the following types of container (20’ and/or 40’):
Open Top, Open Sides, Flat Racks, Flat Beds, Platforms, Insulated Dry Vans, Hangertainers, Bulktainers, OOG, Non-ISO Standard, Tank- and Pallet-wide Containers.

Hamburg Süd Germany: Local Surcharges, Drop Off Fees etc.

Remarks:

• Container lots of more than 10 units per week and location should be approved by the responsible equipment team
• Below drop-off  tariff does not apply to special equipment of any types
• Below drop-off tariff applies to b.m. depots, Empty redelivery into Depots not shown in this overview will be charged with an extra fee
• Changes of original drop-off depots are subject to an amendment fee additionally to the standard tariff.
• Drop-off in inland depots depends on local depot capacity. If depots are full and refuse to accept empty containers, Hamburg Süd will not be responsible for any compensation.
• Empty redelivery of Carriers Standard Equipment with Maersk Own Prefix can be arranged without any pre-advise.Turn/In Reference: Maersk Stock (Only applicable for German locations!)

Dear Customers,

Please find below our general Import redelivery information for Germany and Austria. Drop-off charges as per below tariff.

Receive return depot information and/or request change for delivery into inland depot with our online self service tool here.

Container to be redelivered into depots as per Redelivery Info in PDF irrespectively of Container Number Prefix (not B/L prefix)

Any other prefix must be solicited with Container Number (not B/L number) and approved via NWC HAM dropoff request email
