Dear Valued Customer,

Hamburg Süd would like to provide an update on the situation at Hutchison Ports Delta II and APM Terminal Maasvlakte II, and its impact on our operations.

In light of the current go-slow action being carried out at the Terminals, contingency plans are now in place for Hamburg Süd vessels scheduled to call at the Terminals.

Due to delays in operations and in order to alleviate pressure on the network and ensure schedule integrity going forwards, a number of Hamburg Süd services will no longer call at the Terminals. These contingencies will be communicated by Customer Notifications separately on a vessel level.

When cargo scheduled to discharge at the Terminals is diverted to and placed at customers' disposal at alternative ports such as Antwerp and Zeebrugge, customers will need to source alternative transport at their own cost to reach intended final destinations. Any losses or expenses incurred due to this will not be absorbed by Hamburg Süd.

We understand that this is disappointing, but we would very much appreciate it if our customers would ship all their cargo via the Port of Antwerp in the next two weeks around Christmas and New Year to avoid operational disruptions in the Port of Rotterdam and your supply chain.

To do so, please contact your local sales- or customer service representative. We will find out all the options for rerouting your current bookings or for new bookings via Antwerp.

We thank you for your trust and understanding during this time and look forward to continuing to serve your logistics needs in future.

Any further questions? Please reach out to your LOCAL HAMBURG SÜD OFFICE.

Our teams are always by your side.

Kind regards,

Your Hamburg Süd Team
