(Florham Park, NJ)…Further to our Customer Advisory dated May 2, 2023, we wanted to update you on the status of your cargo onboard the “Maersk Eindhoven“ voyage 317W, sailing on the Hamburg Süd ASUS 2 service. The vessel had encountered mechanical issues at the Port of New York/New Jersey and is undergoing repairs in Newark prior to completing its voyage to Norfolk and Baltimore.
The vessel had offloaded its imports destined for Newark at APM Terminal in Elizabeth on April 30. The remaining cargo is safe and the vessel has engine power. The current estimated repair time for the vessel is approximately 12-14 days. Our best estimates have the “Maersk Eindhoven“ calling Norfolk on May 21 and Baltimore on May 25. However, this is an evolving situation and we are unable to provide a precise ETA for your cargo at this time.
The Customer Experience Team has finalized plans for export bookings. Exports scheduled to load the “Maersk Eindhoven“ will be shipped via the next available vessel to destination based upon available capacity. Cargo contingencies have been updated in our systems and are available for viewing on HamburgSud.com.
