In order to keep providing you with our global services, Hamburg Süd is revising the Panama Canal Surcharge (PCS) applicable for ALL cargo passing through the canal that is loaded or received for shipment (in case of FMC origin/destination) on or after 3rd of August 2023 (based on pro forma departure) for the following trade lanes:
- Europe to/from Latin America
- Europe to/from North America West Coast
- Europe to/from Oceania
- Latin America to/from Oceania
- Latin America to/from East Asia
- North America East Coast to/from Oceania
- North America East Coast to/from East Asia
- Latin America to West Central Asia
- Intra Americas

In addition to PCS, further price elements will apply:
- Base Rate, Bunker related charges and surcharges, LSS (ECA)
- Security related charges and surcharges – respectively applicable at the Port of Origin and the Port of Destination
- Additional charges and surcharges reflecting foreseeable high demand (such as Peak Season Surcharges)
- All other applicable surcharges, such as local charges and contingency charges, valid at the time of shipment.
