APMM Network update to ports of Piteaa and Soedertaelje, Sweden

Dear valued customer,

As part of APMM’s goal to streamline and optimise the global logistical network, the service calling the port of Piteaa has ceased to be operational as of December 31, 2021, while the service calling the port of Soedertaelje will no longer be active as of January 31, 2022.

Your partnership remains of the utmost importance to us, and as your integrated logistics partner, our aim is to assist you in building a more efficient supply chain. Our belief is that by aligning specific services to dedicated ports, we can improve our overall customer offering, all whilst reducing our carbon footprint.

Whilst the ports of Piteaa and Soedertaelje will no longer be part of the Hamburg Süd ocean products offered through APMM, we will continue to support and strengthen your logistical needs through the nearby port of Gothenburg, as well as through our other inland offerings - including trucking and rail.

Please be assured that all containers currently at sea or in port readying for transhipment to or from Soedertaelje will be unloaded or shipped to their destination in the allotted timeframe. Should any change arise pertaining to date or overall situation, we will inform you immediately.

In case of any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your Hamburg Süd representative.

Best regards,
Your Hamburg Süd team
